Story Overview
This design cleverly blends elements of tradition and the present, oriental and occidental, human and nature, centering around a personified panda. Through the panda embodying various roles such as a tourism ambassador, athlete, singer, and director, it showcases the unique charm of Hong Kong, China's multicultural landscape while conveying the city’s resilient spirit and determination.
The design highlights iconic landmarks that narrate Hong Kong's history, including the historical Clock Tower and Golden Bauhinia Square, the artsy Xiqu Centre and the Palace Museum, the Space Museum representing technological exploration, as well as the lively Kai Tak Sports Park and the internationally renowned Avenue of Stars. Through warm hand-drawn strokes and bright color blocks, the grandeur of the architecture is preserved while imbuing it with human warmth, vividly representing Hong Kong's transformation from a fishing village to an international metropolis.
In terms of cultural and artistic expression, the design adopts a hand-drawn style and bright colors to create a distinctive visual aesthetic. The panda singer performs moving melodies, while the film director showcases creative craftsmanship, embodying the innovative vitality of contemporary art while maintaining the elegance of traditional aesthetics, perfectly interpreting Hong Kong's cultural blend of East and West. The incorporation of festive symbols such as Spring Festival lanterns, Dragon Boat Festival dragon boats, and the Mid-Autumn Festival moon, sees the panda moving among them, highlighting both the openness of an international city and the rich, deep cultural roots.
Through the dynamic poses of the panda athlete, the message of perseverance is conveyed. Whether it’s the sharp gaze of a fencer, the vigorous stance of a windsurfer, or the soaring slam dunk of a basketball player, each competitive moment encapsulates focus, courage, and team spirit, showcasing the city's tenacious will and resilience in the face of challenges.

Design Philosophy
This design philosophy employs exquisite hand-drawn illustrations to vividly showcase Hong Kong's multiculturalism and unique charm. The richness of this city derives from its spectacular natural landscapes, bustling urban life, innovative arts, and diverse entertainment activities. This concept skillfully combines  tradition and the present, oriental and occidental, and the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature, symbolizing the continuity and innovation of urban culture while expressing an unyielding spirit.
Utilizing personification, the different roles of the panda both as a charismatic tourism ambassador and a dynamic athlete vividly express the city's vitality and fighting spirit, representing the resilience and determination of its citizens amid the bustling vibrancy of the urban landscape. The delicate illustration captures the city's prosperity and energy.
Overall, the design aims to convey values of unity and resilience, encouraging individuals to support one another and work collaboratively, highlighting the profound humanistic spirit of this city.
